improved

June 3 - June 30, 2024

Over the past 4 weeks, we have been working on myV to make it easier to use with Colo devices and to implement connections to Private Cloud accounts. Additionally, work has been done for VPS devices in the store to help with identifying capacity and setting expectations around VPS device availability as well as improve load times for VPS devices in the store.

System fixes and enhancements released between 6/3 and 6/30

  • API related enhancements

    • Enhanced the way calculations for VPS stock are done to more efficiently load VPS stock on the the store.
    • Updated the v2/device API endpoints to return a user friendly message when they are being used with an incompatible colo device.

  • MyV enhancements

    • Implemented a user friendly message to indicate when there is a problem with a client's account and directs them to contact the Billing team to get it resolved.
    • Implemented stock levels for VPS product to enhance the user experience by more accurately removing VPS models when hosts reach capacity.
    • Updated the Storefront header and footer to include a link to the new Private Cloud page.
    • Updated the Managed Services prices in myV.
    • Enhanced the reload behavior so that when a device is reloaded with a new OS, the next reload performed will have the most recent OS as default instead of the original OS.
    • Updated the Store header and footer to say "New" instead of "Coming Soon" for the new Private Cloud product.
    • In myV, when a device is pending cancellation due to nonpayment, added a message on the device tile that indicates immediate attention is required with the countdown for when service is to be terminated with a link leading to the payment page.
    • In myV, added a check to see if any interfaces are configured for a colo device and if no interfaces are configured, the "Metrics" page will be hidden to avoid confusion since the bandwidth graphs should not load.
    • Implemented the new Private Cloud device type in myV with a "Private Cloud" section under "Devices" that will contain basic information about the Private Cloud with an expand function to show additional information and a link to the Private Cloud management interface.
